About the Author
Ellen Cannon Reed, High Priestess of the Isian tradition, has been student and teacher of the Craft and Qabala for fifteen years. She and her husband (and High Priest), Chris, have been active in the Southern California pagan community for the last ten years. They live on a hill overlooking the San Fernando Valley.
Michael E. Miller received his PhD in Public Affairs from the University of Central Florida, with a concentration in Criminal Justice. He holds Master and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Administration. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Legal Studies at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee where he teaches Criminal Justice courses. Previously he taught Criminal Justice and Sociology courses as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida. In November 2007 he retired from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida after 25 years of service, holding the rank of Captain. During his career he worked in Uniformed Patrol, Special Investigations (Narcotics), and Criminal Investigations. He has held leadership and management positions as Patrol Supervisor, Narcotics Unit Sergeant, Special Investigations Division Lieutenant, Uniformed Patrol Sector Commander, and Criminal Investigations Division Major Case Commander. He is a 1999 graduate of the Southern Police Institute's (SPI) Administrative Officers' Course at the University of Louisville.

A camel of a textbook.

As an IB History teacher, I find that this book is rife with typographical errors ("Bernard Netanyahu" anyone?). Its approach to topics is non-linear and paragraphs in a single section jump all over the place. Reads like the work of a committee and presents a serious challenge for my students. I have purchased the Cambridge course guides as well and look forward to reviewing them. Hope to use them to supplement this text where it becomes incoherent.
I had to edit to downgrade the number of stars this receives. Absolutely atrocious. Terribly written. Incomprehensible for high school students.
