Stopped for speeding while on the way to her 19th birthday party, the sexy Jessica Miller assumes she’ll get by with the usual warning. Although her glove box is filled with unpaid tickets, she’s sure that her daddy, the Mayor, will ‘take care of it,’ just as he always does. However, once the officer pulls her driving records, he abruptly orders her from the car, subjects her to a demeaning pat down, then cuffs her ankles and wrists, and shoves her into the back of his cruiser. Arrested for attempted armed robbery! Oh, but this is a huge mistake!

Mayor's Daughter Trilogy Review
By Urban S. f/DA
It's taken me a bit longer than I had hoped to re-read the first two books (the first I read on DA when the story was originally posted there, and the second I read before it was published when I was asked to have a look and offer some constructive criticism), but I think I made up for it with book 3, which I finished in only two or three evenings.
This series has proven to be a bit different from what I would call your typical BDSM story. For starters, there is actually very little sex throughout the three books, and the last half or so of the third book takes the story in a completely different direction from where a lot of books tend to go. Further, the focus in these is much more on relaying the emotions felt by the captured victims as their captor torments them, giving you plenty of erotic imagery throughout while making you feel bad for what they're going through.
As to the plot itself, it revolves around a young woman by the name of Jessica Miller (huh, I used to know a Jessica Miller back in grade school, come to think of it) who is seemingly pulled over for speeding, and winds up arrested when it is revealed that she supposedly has a much more serious charge on file. But, as it turns out, the cop has other, much darker plans in mind for Jessica, and soon takes her to his family's old mill, now converted into a place of to torment her, all the while recording it for the loyal viewers of the website he sets up.
Throughout the first book, Jessica is put through some intense torments to break her will, starting with a torturous night on a metal bed frame complete with electrical torture throughout the night, before she is introduced to her purpose at the mill, to be a ponygirl. Her training starts off hard here as well, where she is forced to endure a cruel bit gag that tries to force itself deeper into her throat if she doesn't hold onto it, and the tiring task of working to pull one of the heavy millstones under threat of getting hit with a cattle prod should she fail to keep a fast enough pace.
The torment continues through into the second book, where we are introduced to Jessica's stablemate, Allison, who was likewise arrested by the policeman for drunk driving. Allison is subjected to much of the same torments as Jessica, who by this time has graduated to 'show pony' status, though that certainly doesn't mean that her life in the mill is any easier. Throughout their time in the mill, the girls are pitted against each other by their captor in an effort to prevent any bonding that may lead to thoughts of escape.
Moving into the final book, help finally arrives in the form of Officer Kate Morgan, who has managed to track down the rogue policeman, whose name we finally learn in book 3. Will she succeed in freeing the girls? Will she become a victim of the mill herself? Or will she join in on tormenting Jessica and Allison with her fellow officer?
I'm not telling; you'll have to read the book to find out for yourself.
What stands out most to me in these books is the meticulous detail given to the bondage. Even putting on a simple pair of handcuffs is filled with so much detail, not just the bondage, but what the girls are feeling, their thoughts about their captor, and how much they really don't want to do what he says, but are forced to remember what he always tells them: "It could always be worse." And of course, you always know just how tight the bondage is; the girls' reactions let you know.
Even though the bondage methods are sometimes repetitive, typically with some form of modern-style handcuffs or shackles, they don't really seem to get old, each time the presentation is somewhat different. This carries over for the times when the girls are dressed in their pony gear as well, as you never quite know exactly what their captor has planned.
And speaking of their captor, I should talk about him a bit as well. This is one corrupt cop, to say the least. He is repeatedly shown to be quite cruel and rather merciless with his captives, offering them rewards that are only slightly less restrictive, humiliating, or painful than the punishments they would receive. He constantly plays mind games with the girls, making them question exactly what is the truth of their situation and sewing mistrust between Jessica and Allison. His meticulous nature of restraining and tormenting them makes it seem almost as if he's obsessive/compulsive about his work, or at least has made detailed plans out in advance.
There is always a menacing nature about the corrupt cop, more than just the flip-flop on the idea that the police are there to serve and protect. I found the cop to be very much a villain, reveling in his mistreatment of his victims while maintaining a rather disturbing calm and restraint about the tortures he inflicts. Though he certainly does show his arousal, overall, there is very little sex involved; it's all about domination and causing pain to his slaves. Despite their will to resist, his words are often enough to get the girls frightened enough of what could be to comply with his requests, and he is more than willing to go quite far with them, even threatening Jessica with being buried alive at one point. He is ruthless, methodical, and indeed terrifying.
Perhaps more interestingly, though, is how events unfold in the third book. I'll not spoil what happens, but I will say that the last half of the book or so is very uncharacteristic of a BDSM novel in many ways. The focus is still upon the victims, but in an entirely different and quite refreshing manner. In fact, there is very little bondage, perhaps only 3 instances, and mild ones at that, in the last half of the third book, but the story still had me in its grasp, and I had to keep turning pages to find out what happened next. It's even a rather welcome surprise to see how the corrupt cop is handled in the last book.
Though I'm not offering any spoilers, I will say that I was very pleased with the last couple of chapters and how events in the story developed. Better, I can say that the girls actually took steps that showed that they learned from certain experiences earlier in the series and acted quite competently when the time came for the to do so. There is good character development in the later chapters, and a look into some areas that are usually overlooked in these kinds of novels, specifically what happens AFTER the traumatic events...that's all I'm saying about that. You want more, go get a copy and read it.
Overall, the Mayor's Daughter Trilogy was an excellent read. There were some problems with it, though in the grand scheme of things they were relatively minor. The pacing is a bit off at times; there is no real sense of exactly how much time passes between certain scenes where the girls are bound and left to suffer their bondage. Some of the scenes stretch through several chapters, and seemingly over the course of a single night, but then its been implied that a few days may have passed. It seems like only a few days that Jessica has been there, but at other points it's implied that it has been weeks, and time jumps ahead a few months in the last half of the third book, but really, this doesn't detract from the enjoyability of the story for the most part, just a minor annoyance, and this could certainly just be me hurrying through the first two books again; everyone has a different perception of things, after all.. I could nitpick about a few other things, but they're really so minor in regards to the story I can't really say they detract from it; it's probably just my own thought processes having their way while immersing myself in the story.
As a final summary, I will say that I loved the description of the bondage, especially the ponygirl training segments, which were not only quite erotic in how they were written, but also rather disturbing in just how cruel such things seemed to be for the girls. This is not a work for those seeking consensual bondage and light BDSM play; this is more in the vein of torture, really, and extremely non-consensual. But, if you enjoy reading that sort of thing, this series is right up your alley. I also loved seeing stocks used in a few scenes, and there was even a great couple of chapters involving a straitjacket, all presented in deliciously restrictive descriptive detail.
I have to recommend this series; it's not for everyone, that is for sure, but the way it all ends is so uncharacteristic for a BDSM novel that reading through to the conclusion is more than worth the time you will invest in it. The bondage is amazingly vivid, and the torments the girls go through are just as life-like, filled with all the juicy details you want, but with a darker, more sinister edge brought on by their captor that really makes you feel for them and want to see them escape his cruelty. This is definitely a darker series than many I read, but thankfully it does not delve into anything I found truly distasteful. Overall, it's got a solid 5/5 from me; one of the best and most engaging stories I've had the pleasure of reading.

A rivetingly kinky story
By O Th.
I first read that story on the Utopia site, an unfinished story: no sequel since 2010...The author drove his readers to tears of frustration for two whole years until one of them mentioned the book was on sale on Amazon!
The author has since edited and improved its dark side.
The book starts with the abduction of a young, rich and pretty teenager but you realize gradually the kidnapper is not a run-of-the-mill rascal intent on getting a quick ransom: the girl is subject to many ordeals and the man's imagination has no bounds.
The girl is driven from glimmers of hope to complete desperation when he finally discloses his hidden and unbelievable motives.
I look forward to reading part two.

Not for the faint of heart

*Book source ~ Many thanks to Pink Flamingo for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review.
Jessica Miller is a spoiled rich girl whose father is the mayor of her town. On her 19th birthday while on the way to her party she gets pulled over for yet another speeding violation and she thinks she might be able to get out of it with a warning. However, the officer says she’s got an outstanding warrant and she needs to go to the station to get it straightened out. Except there is no warrant and Jessica is about to enter a whole new world. One that is cruel and sadistic with no hope for escape. If she survives, this will be a birthday she’ll never forget.
Woah. I have to say that animal roleplay or petplay isn't something that lights my fire. However, I was curious and had heard this story was pretty good, so I was game to give it a go. Sweet Baby Jane! This is not a cutesy light and fluffy BDSM story. This is a non-con abduction and forced BDSM book. Jessica, newly christened Sierra, is forced to be a ponygirl. This is not something she ever even thought about in her wildest dreams. She is not secretly craving to be a submissive and she does not fall in love with the cruel and sadistic Officer. This story is brutal to read.
I like Jessica despite the fact she starts out a bit spoiled. She has guts aplenty. And she’s smart. She’s constantly trying to think of ways to get the flock out of there or ways she might be able to manipulate her captor. None of it works, but at least she’s trying. The story is well-written and the things the Officer does to Jessica are so finely detailed I had no problem picturing them in my head. Which was enough to give me nightmares, thankyouverymuch. I may have learned more than I ever needed to know about ponyplay, but at least it was an inventive and very interesting learning experience.
