Crazy Fun

I first found some of the stories on the web for free while looking for bed time stories for my kids (6 and 9). Some of the stories are so crazy that the kids (and sometimes me, the narrator) couldn't stop laughing. Well, it might have gotten too excited for bed time but it was still a good laugh. After reading the kids about half of the stories, I decided to purchase the book so that they could read the stories themselves and see what other stories are included in the book vs. the free stories on the web (and also to support the author - he deserves it). The kids love the book.
The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that most of the stories are amazing, but not all. Still, not regretting my decision to buy it.

Gordon Dioxide is crazy

I love the stories in this book. My daughter loves the stories too. We first found Gordon Dioxide's stories a few years ago through a google search for "bedtime stories". Up popped Gordon Dioxide's website with his amazing stories. I began reading his stories to my daughter when she was 5 years old. We would read a different one every night and we BOTH genuinely thought that his stories are funny. Pretty soon we had read all the stories on his website and we began reading through them a second time. Soon after that, we were reading his stories a third time. I would estimate that some of his stories were read 10 times. They were always funny. Gordon Dioxide has an amazing sense of humor and a very distinct writing style.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that Gordon Dioxide's stories have helped to shape my daughter's sense of humor... but who knows really. All I know is that I owe him a big "Thank You" for many hours of bonding with my daughter. It is priceless to see my daughter's eyes light up in anticipation of the next joke. I also love the questions at the end of his stories "to see if you've been listening".
It is an honor to own a printed copy of Gordon's stories. Also this book contains new stories that you can't find anywhere else. The new stories are a blast... and it was amazing to be reading new Gordon Dioxide stories after reading his online stories so many times. The book contains several illustrations which I assume were drawn by Gordon himself. Those simple drawings crack me up in the same way his stories do.

We loved these stories off of the internet before we got our son the book for his birthday. Every night, my 9 year-old is in bed, on-time, waiting for a story that we've read many times. After we read, we reflect on the stories and the great imaginative events. I even read them in an English accent, for effect. We are also learning lots of British words such as supermarket trolley and nappies. You wouldn't believe my son's expression as we read "Tom and Terry and the Final Fish Quest". What an adventure!
Thank you for your book and your stories' ability to seize the wonder of my child. We are both hoping you make more soon.
