Dr. DeWitt specializes in photogrammetry, digital mapping technology, digital image processing, hydrographic surveys, subdivision design, and land surveying

Benjamin E. Wilkinson is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Florida with specialization in photogrammetry, LIDAR, remote sensing, navigation, and software development.

Good depending on your background and goals

The book is solidly written; however, I do feel there is a slight misrepresentation when the book states it is good for beginning photogrammetry. If you are familiar with photogrammetry, the book is a useful reference and provides details on a variety of relevant topics. However, individuals with no knowledge of the topic will find many of the topics unclear,with the authors presuming the reader knows information not presented in the book. There are a large quanitity of formulas presented; however, there are errors in some of the formulas and often, the formulas are not completely explained. If you are not familiar with upper level math concepts like linear algebra, trig and calculus,following how the solutions were derived may be frustrating.
If this is a field you are interested in pursueing, the book may be worth getting. If you are more interested in an overview of photogrammetry, this is probably not the best fit.

The information provided in this book allows teachers to gain a better understanding of the techniques that positively influence the field of education. I not only found 'A Book for Every Teacher' informational, I found it to be an enjoyable read. The book gave many helpful tips on how to better reach my ELL students. I have students in my class that do not receive extra help from an ESOL teacher, therefore, I have to make the necessary adjustments in my classroom. My lower level students also benefit from some of the changes that I have made. I recommend this book to all teachers, regardless if they do not have an ELL student in their classroom this year.

I would highly recommend this book. The outline of the content is great and easy to follow. Chapter 3 discuss teaching ELLs in the classroom. It give great strategies to use such as Using Visual Aids like pictures, images, and graphic organizers. It also mentions relating existing knowledge, presenting contextual information, and making use of technology as other great strategies. This book is the perfect read for any teacher with ELL students.

A journey into the depths of despair

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is an excellent novel, portraying the down ward spiral that almost anyone could take. In The Bell Jar, Plath allows the reader to see first hand what it is like, to be truelly depressed. Unsure of your future, and not sure if you want to continue your life. Using Esther Greenwood, Plath tells her own story of suicide attempts, and thus is able to add real insite. The story brings you on Esther's downward spiral into the depths of despair and allows you to follow her on her path to recovery. I found the book extremely interesting, it really digs deep within the human physci.

Strategic Marketing Management by Alexander Chernev helps bring together all of the major tools required in the field of marketing into a single source. The book offers both a practical toolkit of strategic marketing frameworks, as well as practical examples on how they can be applied to create value for customers, collaborators, and the company. Overall I found the book easy and interesting to read, as well as a frequently used reference toolkit.

Chernev's book helps shed light on Marketing being more than just an art based on intuition and creativity. Marketing also requires use of scientific and analytic tools which can be used to provide credibility to senior management, stakeholders, and collaborators.

The book is a must read for anyone involved with marketing, or executives which an understanding of how to maximize value for the company, customers, and collaborators. Consider the risks when things go wrong?

Using approaches from the book, I worked with a team to launch a quantitative study into measuring the entertainment value and marketing value of Super Bowl Ads. Our findings were surprising. While viewers may have been entertained by a particular Super Bowl ad, preference for some brands actually decreased following air of the Super Bowl ad. Imagine paying millions of dollars for an ad, only to see customers preference for your brand decrease in some cases. The book offers valuable frameworks to help you or your company avoid these missteps.

Professor Chernev's approach to Strategic Marketing is indeed a fresh rarity. A typical Marketing textbook is thick and filled with countless acronyms, that at the end tend to leave impression of being obscure or irrelevant to be applied in the real world.

Chernev's approach is direct. He stimulates critical thinking throughout his discussions & guide his audience to always think outside their perspective silo. His didactic approach is to distill and discuss core principles that can be found in every real business scenario.

Of all the great concepts he discussed, I am particularly fond of the "Five C's" framework. This framework is not just relevant for approaching business problems, but can function as critical lenses when approaching any situations in life in general.

The book is a gem not to be missed by business executives, IT professionals, or anyone else who appreciates good writing & strategic thinking. Highly recommended!!

This book is garbage

Nothing personal, for those who give more than 2 stars for this book, you are either a friend of the author, got the book for free, or never really review it throroughly. Here are the reason why:
1. Nothing is new in this book that you can get it off the web
2. Equations were given without fully specify its component
3. You can't work the problem in the back of the chapter because there are no materials in the chapter to support it. You need your old engineering book in order to solve these problems
4. Problems were stated unclear and incorrect. For example, he ask to calculate an N-channel MOSFET transistor problem, but the figure he used is a P-channel. It seems like the author either pull these problems out of this behind or took these problems from other engineering books and change some values to make it different, but unfortunately, those values were unworkable.
5. Pretty thick book for a lot of garbage. If I need to work electrical or heat transfer problems, I'll go to my old engineering book at least those authors know their materials.

"Fundamentals of Microsystems Packaging" is an informative, well-written textbook, the first to cover this rapidly-evolving technology. Professor Tummala's latest book should appeal to only three groups: those who know a lot about microsystems packaging, those who know something about it, and those who know nothing about it.
Microsystems packaging specialists, who typically focus on one sub-specialty, will find this detailed exposition of the entire field broadening. Non-specialists with some general packaging knowledge will find here all that they need to fully understand and work with the key elements of microsystems packaging. Novices, students, and those in related technical fields will find a well-structured introduction that prepares them to deal with microsystems packaging.
This comprehensive textbook offers to all of the above groups a firm grounding in the diverse disciplines comprising microsystems packaging. Nineteen of the chapters share the title, "Fundamentals of ...". "Fundamental" means "a foundation," and that is what these chapters provide, covering the key elements of topics ranging from semiconductors to systems, including design, processing, materials, manufacture, testing, performance, reliability, thermal management, and environmental considerations.
For the specialist, who must build upon these foundations, each chapter includes a judicious selection of recommended further readings. For the autodidact, the scholar, or the flagellant, there are even homework problems to test your knowledge.
